Wireless Security Alarm

Hi, guys

Looking for one wireless camera system capable of connecting to my pc. Require to record during the night, say 7 hours every day and can save it on my 500G hard drives.

I am going to installing in downstair and PC is on the 2nd floor. Is that a problem? I am running my PC over the night and shut down when in the morning.

Anyone recommends a type of camera and the problem is what software and hardware I can use to connect between camera and PC ? how can I record it?

My Linksys Wireless-G 2.4ghz router sits on the floor of my room in the corner. My head is in the adjacent corner only about 5 or 6 feet away, but a foot or two more elevated.

My question is: Is this dangerous like they say cell phone radiation is, or is it safe to keep it on at all times? I have no security settings like a WEP or WAP and cannot change any settings because I do not have the password (I got the router used and the original owner forgot the password…). I’m not really worried about hackers though.

What I am worried about is the harmful radiation that could be emanating from the router (and are the 2 alarm clock/radios I have dangerous even when they aren’t searching for wireless signals?)

I suppose I COULD switch everything to wired but that’ll be more expensive and a lot less convenient. Not to mention a lot of work rewiring my entire setup…

So what do you recommend? I need professional opinions please… Is this as dangerous as a cell phone is…? =\
