wireless security alarm

ok,i have a dilemma ,which is better wired home alarm sys or wireless,iv been quoted 165 for two motion sensors plus alarm box and keypad all installed or wireless for 399 same kit only alarm box is solar.wiv wired i assume you just hook up to electric and no more worries and ireless i guess i wud have to change batt every 3-6mnths,. WHICH IS BETTER WIRED OR WIRELESS and what brand,i have in mind (5 star alarm for wired) and micromark or yale for wireless

    u have to choose. wired is cheaper and more reliable but is not convenient to install. wireless is easier to use, and u can place it anywhere, but sometimes the signal is distorted by other devices.

    i use brandless cameras from china — very inexpensive. so far, they are ok.

    adt.com can help you and they have good inexpensive service. if you use there service for two years there system is free give them a call and ask them what their specials are at the time

    Wireless alarm systems are now just as reliable as hard wired systems. It used to be that wireless systems were subject to interference from outside sources, but now, with advanced technology, they use unique frequencies to avoid this. Your wireless system (box) will have to be connected to an electrical outlet, but will have a back-up battery. Most wireless sensors now use lithium batteries, which last 7-10 years.
